Dear Parents,

On Sunday, November 23, 2008, the Deutsche Sprachschule will be holding a bake sale at the Christmas Market of the German Club of Clark. We request that every family donate baked goods to support our school. Some easy recipes are attached for banana and other breads. Any one of the recipes will yield 3 small loaves. If your family would prepare 3-6 loaves and bring them to school on 11-22-08, it would be greatly appreciated. Other recipes are also welcome. It would be helpful if all goods were packaged in clear cellophane bags and decorated.

Please support this important fundraiser. Visit the Christmas Market at the Deutscher Club of Clark. Get in the holiday spirit! Bring the family, window shop, and have a relaxing afternoon.

Dear Parents,

The holidays are on our door step and the German School is planning two in-house fundraising events.

Beginning Saturday, November 1st, we will offer traditional German Advent calendars  - filled with chocolates - at a price of $2.50 each.

November 22nd will be the date for our Christmas Market, where you can purchase traditional German chocolates, Lebkuchen (ginger/spice cookies), German coffee, Spaetzle and much more.  Please mark your calendar and support the German Language School!

The school would also appreciate donations of used German children’s books, adult books, and computer programs.

A carton, labeled “Book Donations,” will be placed in the school entrance hall.
